The Marcelo Brozovic affair continues its heated momentum. The managers of Al Nassr (including it’s CEO, a representative of the Saudi Pro League and an intermediary) met at Inter headquarters on via della Liberazione this afternoon with CEO Beppe Marotta and club lawyer Stefano Capellini.
The goal of Al Nassr was to reach a definitive agreement with the Nerazzurri for the purchase of the Croatian midfielder: 22 million as the basis of the agreement, according to La Gazzetta della Sport or 23 million, according to Sky Sport. He is under contract with Inter until 2026.
The negotiation seems to be well advanced and it is practically concluded between the two companies, according to Gazzetta. However, the definitive ok from the player is missing. In the next few hours, the player is planning a call with his agent and the CEO of Al Nassr to say yes or no to the contract that has been proposed to him, which would be a three-year contract worth over 20 million per season. Brozovic will be the one to blow everything up or finally trigger the move.
Meanwhile, Barcelona hopes that Brozovic will say yes to Xavi, but Al Nassr has been pressing and they are confident they have laid the foundations to sign their target. There is very little missing at this point. The money from this deal will be reinvested to buy Davide Frattesi and prevent AC Milan, Juve or Roma from intervening.
