The former Inter striker out on loan to Paris Saint Germain reiterated his desire to stay in the French capital.
Mauro gave an interview after he scored a hattrick and offered an assist in the quarter-final of the Coupe de la Ligue against Saint-Étienne in Wednesday.
“I feel very good in Paris” said the Argentinian, reassuring fans and executives alike that the prolific striker is happy with his current situation. “When the season is over in May, we will sit down and talk. If I have a chance to stay, I will be very happy.”, he added.
Icardi started this season in an impressive manner scoring 17 goals in 19 games and settling perfectly in Tuchel’s system.
Inter wouldn’t miss Icardi all that much, as Lukaku, who was selected as his replacement also fitted his coach’s gameplan seamlessly, netting 16 goals and getting praise from Mister Conte after nearly every game.
PSG must pay the €65m option if they want to acquire Icardi permanently, that sum could prove vital for Inter in the summer mercato.
