Alessandro Bastoni will officially miss Inter’s game versus Sassuolo on Saturday. The defender was suspended for two games after insulting the officials in the Milan Derby. Inter filed and appeal, hoping to reduce the suspension to one game. Today, we understand that the appeal is officially rejected, making him unavailable for selection.
Simone Inzaghi will now have two options for his defense for Saturday. The one which seems most likely, is going with Federico Dimarco replacing Basoni as a LCB. Inter’s coach may also choose to start Danilo D’amrosio. If he decides to do so, Milan Skriniar will probably take Bastoni’s spot on the left with De Vrij remaining in the middle of the defense.
