As of today, the January transfer market is open. Inter will likely seek to sell players rather than buy more due to the financial stress the world of football is under.

Radja Nainggolan has already left Inter to join Cagliari on a loan and it has been made official by both clubs. Inter will also be looking to sell Matias Vecino, who is finally fit to play. Finally, Inter will attempt to monetize Christian Eriksen. Marotta has already spoken in regards, officially putting him on the transfer list. There are talks of a move to PSG where Maurizio Pochettino has been made the new manager. The two could link up again on the Parisian side.

The incoming market will be dry, if not empty. Arek Milik’s situation will be monitored to see if he will leave Napoli during this window. If not, he could become a free agent and be signed for next season. Papu Gomez also remains a mystery. Atalanta will likely sell to the highest bidder, which would likely exclude Inter.

Overall, there is no chance Inter will have an eventful transfer window. Instead, the Nerazzurri will try to unburden the club’s finances with new cash and less wages.
