Mercato Update: Striker on Inter’s radar

Inter look to Belotti as Lukaku replacement

Another possible name added to Inter’s ever-growing wish list of players this transfer window is Torino’s captain Andrea Belotti.

The Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb claim that Inter have struck a deal with Torino for the services of their captain. The website advises the decision is now up to the player, as both Inter and Torino’s management have agreed on the final figure which is around the €15million mark.

No other media outlet has confirmed the above, so this is still only a rumour at this stage. We should know more in the next few days as we have approximately a week left in the Mercato.

However, I don’t see Torino letting their man Belotti go for that as cheap as that. I know Torino are struggling financially at the moment, but to let their only chance of staying in top flight football go for a very cheap price seems odd to me.

Especially if we look back a couple of seasons, where Torino valued Belotti excess of €70million. Belotti’s contract does expire in June 2022 so this may be a chance to at least cash in, but I still feel a deal is far away.

Since joining Torino back in 2015/16, Belotti has bagged a total 106 goals from 230 appearances. Belotti is still only 27 years old so still has many great years of football to come.

Do you think Belotti would be a great addition to this Inter side? Let us know your thoughts!

As always, Forza Inter!
