Lautaro was interviewed after his superstar performance against Barcelona. A goal and an assist to help Inter grab a point.
We saw a rejuvenated Inter side who gave 100% and almost got 3 points away from home. Our Argentine striker showed his class in the second half as it was a magic performance.
Lautaro spoke further about the opposition and how our 1500 fans could be heard in a packed Camp Nou.
“We faced a very strong team like Barcelona in a stadium that was like an arena. But we also heard from our fans: they are always there, we thank them.
Furthermore, Lautaro spoke about the tough times which have been faced recently.
“We understood that it was a difficult time for us, we looked at each other and we put what there was to put. Those who have been here for several years do everything, together with experienced players like Mkhitaryan, to drag everyone along.
Finally, Lautaro went on to compliment his team mates Robin Gosens. Gosens has had a terrible time as of late and has really struggled finding his best form. This goal from Gosens may be exactly what he needs.
“As a team, we all have to fight, starting with the forwards, today we did it with an incredible performance. The goal? It comes when you least expect it, I’ve always said that. I have always tried to make my contribution. An assist has also arrived and I am happy for Robin because he always puts a lot of effort into training and he deserves it.”
