Only a year after Inter replaced Pirelli with Socios, another change is coming with DigitalBits taking over the front of jerseys from 2022/23.
The crypto company Socios and Inter have decided not to renew the sponsorship on the front of the jersey. This current deal provided Inter with €16 million for season 2021/22. Instead, we will see Socios remain in partnership with Inter for €1 million per season with Global Advertiser rights.
There was a deal signed at the start of this season with DigitalBits for the sleeve sponsor. So there must’ve been plans to move to the sponsorship to the front of the jersey at some point. Especially since the multi-year partnership is worth an astonishing €85 million.
Below was the initial announcement on Inter’s official website about the sleeve partnership in September 2021. Click here to view.
We should hear more about this as the season starts to wind down. No official word has come yet, but Inter executives confirmed in a recent roadshow that Inter will have a new name on the front of the jersey from next season onwards.
DigitalBits is also Inter’s official Cryptocurrency partner. Learn more about who DigitalBits do through their website here.
