They barely even reflected on the events of the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus, but Inter is now preparing for a Serie A match against Salernitana on Friday. The Nerazzurri will then have to travel to Portugal for the first leg of the Champions League against Benfica.
Simone Inzaghi will line up his team in the usual 3-5-2 formation. In goal, Onana will return after Handanovic started in the first leg of the Coppa Italia. The three-man defense should consist of Darmian, De Vrij, and Bastoni.
Dumfries should regain a starting position on the right wing, while the now fully recovered Dimarco should play on the left. The central midfield trio will most likely be made of Barella, Brozovic and Mkhitaryan.
Finally in attack, Inzaghi should return to fielding the Lu-La duo formed by Lautaro and Lukaku from the first minute. Dzeko should be available to come off the bench.
INTER (3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Lautaro Martinez, Lukaku.
SALERNITANA (3-4-2-1): Ochoa; Daniliuc, Gyomber, Pirola; Sambia, Maggiore, Coulibaly, Bradaric, Candreva, Dia, Piatek.
