One #9 in, one out.
In comes Romelu Lukaku for a whopping 75 million + bonuses and splits the fan base apart. Inter fans however, looked forward to the departure of troublesome Mauro Icardi.
The outgoing transfer of 5 million euros + the option to redeem at 70 million, has Inter licking their lips with the prospect of a huge positive on the books.
So what has the season taught us so far?
Rom has settled into life at Inter smoothly and gracefully. A team player who was no doubt looking for a more humble environment, following his awkward time in Manchester.
Lukaku has 9 goals in 12 starts domestically and has established himself as the target man. Because of this, he is a fundamental aspect of Conte’s 3-5-2.
Mauro Icardi has also made a positive start to his time in Paris. He has 9 goals in 10 matches but most notably, 3 in 4 Champions League appearances. The later accomplishment here tends to stand out on the european stage.
