Inter is set to take on the Bulgarian side Ludogorets Razgrad in the 32 stage of the Europa League which will be played on February 20th in Razgrad and 27th at the San Siro.

Who is Ludogorets Razgrad?

Ludogorets has enjoyed regular presence in the Europa League over past few seasons but have been knocked out consistently before making it any further. The club finished second in their group stages of the Europa League behind Espanyol. They currently sit at the very top of their league with 48 points and an unbeaten record of 14 wins and 6 draws in 20 matches. They deploy a fluid formation of 4-2-3-1 with their lead hit man, the Romanian Claudiu Keșerü who has scored 9 goals for the club so far.

Inter have never played Ludogorets Razgrad before, however, the Nerazzurri have played in Bulgaria before as they took on CSKA Sofia in the 60s.

Following the Europa League draw, Inter legend and Vice-President Javier Zanetti said:

“We must not take anything for granted and prepare for these two fixtures in the best possible way. It was disappointing to be eliminated from the Champions League after finishing third, but now we need to focus our energies on the league, Coppa Italia and Europa League, which needs to be an objective for us.”

Inter will be desperately looking to get their injury plagued roster back to 100% as soon as January if they wish to keep up with title challenge in the league as well as any progress in the Europa League.
