Denzel Dumfries is featured on today’s edition of Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport saying “Inter, gift me a dream.”

Denzel went on to talk about the feeling of the crowd at San Siro and how the penalty he gave away to Juventus made him feel.

“Every match, the electricity is different. After the episode of the penalty at Juventus, the world fell on me. But I never give up, my life says so.”

He also speaks about the upcoming derby, Inzaghi and his aspirations to keep improving with Inter.

“Inzaghi is strong, he plays the games with us. The Derby? I realised it is a unique moment and I am ready.”

The Flying Dutchman has improved massively over the past couple of months, and I think we’re going to see even more of that against Milan.

We are still not sure if Inzaghi will start Darmian or Dumfries, but it’ll be quite a challenge up against Theo Hernandez. I’m sure whoever takes the field will be ready to go!

Since joining the Nerazzurri, Dumfries has provided 3 goals and 3 assists in 19 Serie A games. A great record for a player who is still learning the language, gaining confidence and adjusting to the Italian style of football.

Since signing, there have been comparisons made to Hakimi but we still need to give it time as Denzel is still yet to reach his potential. Fingers crossed he can reach that quality in his Inter career.
