Reports have once again surfaced this week stating that Inter & Croatian national team winger Ivan Perisic is unhappy at the Italian club.
According to The Evening Standard back in October, Manchester United were ready to table £48million for Ivan’s services in 2017, only to have Perisic stay on with Inter, apparently due to Luciano Spalletti’s convincing words.
With Inter dumped out the Champions League mid-week against Dutch Champions PSV Eindehoven, it is not surprising that talks of a domestic departure have gained traction.
La Republicca claims that Perisic is “currently unhappy with the situation at Inter, and a departure shouldn’t be ruled out”.
This news would also be bolstered by the simple fact that the Croatian has failed to replicate his 2017/18 domestic form & would simply be looking for a fresh start & new challenge:
“Never say never in football, I’ve had the ambition to play in as many big leagues as possible, and I still want to test myself in other tournaments, like the Spanish or English ones.
“I hope that Inter fans can understand my point of view, I’m an athlete and I’m a professional, I like challenges.”
In terms of the figure attatched to the potential transfer and those interested, Manchester United still lead the pack, with a potential swap with French winger Anthony Martial not being ruled out.
Other clubs in the mix have been quoted as Atletico Madrid & Bayern Munich, With the Spanish giants seemingly interested but are put off by Inter’s 50 million Euro asking price.
