Inter-Lecce: Dimarco and Skriniar out, three other positions in question

Federico Dimarco and Milan Skriniar will not be dressing for the Lecce match. Simone Inzaghi waited until the last minute to assess whether at least one of the two players are healthy enough to be available off the bench, but the Nerazzurri manager will have to do without both on Sunday. The fullback and the Slovakian center-back did not train with the group in the last sessions at the Pinetina. They have left the technical center, where the rest of the team will remain in training camp until the match against the Giallorossi. The Nerazzurri are aiming to have the two back for Friday’s trip to Spezia and then have them fit enough for the following Tuesday as they travel to Porto in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16.

DOUBTS – Inzaghi’s Sunday lineup has some positions set: Darmian and Gosens replace Skriniar and Dimarco, Barella returns to the midfield, Lautaro starts up front while Acerbi is still ahead of De Vrij. However Decisions are needed for three doubts in the starting eleven. There are close calls in the midfield and attack: Lukaku threatens Dzeko’s place, while Brozovic and Mkhitaryan are competing for a starting position with Calhanoglu waiting to find out which position he will fill, either as a deep midfielder or as playmaker. At the moment, the odds favor the Croatian over the Armenian.

Probable Lineup (3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Gosens; Lukaku, Lautaro.
