Having provided the assist for Mauro Icardi’s equaliser, Matteo Politano has since had this to say after Inter’s 1-1 draw with PSV: “There is a lot of disappointment, especially after the first half when we committed too many errors. We grew a lot after the interval and created many goalscoring chances. After Icardi’s goal, we should’ve kept pressing but we’d already given a lot."

A beautiful header goal from Mauro Icardi wasn’t enough to secure Inter’s qualification to the Round of 16 stage of this season’s Champions League. It finished 1-1 between the Nerazzurri and PSV Eindhoven at the Meazza. Luciano Spalletti has named 19 players in his squad for tomorrow evening’s fixture against PSV at San Siro on matchday six in the UEFA Champions League.

"We are Inter and we’ll give our all tomorrow to get through the group, even if we’re aware that it doesn’t all depend on us," he started by saying."It will be an extremely important match, we want to go through but we know it won’t be easy. It’s normal that we always want the best, first of all, we want to make it through before focusing on the league until the end of 2018. We’re a strong team and we must always aim to go far, in all competitions."
