After almost two years of empty stadiums and reduced capacity, things seem to be moving towards normal. The wave of Omicron cases is slowly travelling downwards so that, from next week’s Serie A match, a good portion of the public will return.
The 50% of the public will return after the international break, while it is now almost certain that the total reopening will take place from mid-February. As reported by Calcio e Finanza, there has been a strong push by the Italian league teams, which would see the total comeback of their fans, as well as a substantial financial gain from the second half of next month.
