All sporting events remain halted throughout the world to combat the spread of the Coronavirus. Inter defender, Milan Skriniar interacted with the fans over video chat and answered their questions.
Skriniar sheds light on how the players are coping with the lockout and spending their days, “We all miss football, both the players and the fans miss it. This is a tough time for everyone, but we must all fight together.”
“We have some recommendations from the staff, so we follow them carefully to train and stay fit. When I’m not doing that, I’m home with my girlfriend and our dogs, we watch TV and play games. In the evening, I hear people singing from the balcony, it’s beautiful and very emotional.”
Skriniar told the fans who he admired the most and who are his idols, “If I had to choose one Nerazzurri defender who I’ve always admired, I’d say Walter Samuel: he was strong and always made the difference.”
“My favorite player? Without doubt Ronaldo, El Fenomeno, I adored him and he was my idol.”
In the end, he gave Nerazzurri fans a bit of advice on working hard and said: “To reach your goals you have to work every day to improve. Hard work is the key, as well as making the sacrifices that this life entails.”
