Inter are set to face Porto in the second leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League after their unexpected loss to Spezia in the league on Friday night. Below are the probable lineups for both clubs.
Inter – Inzaghi’s possible choices
Simone Inzaghi will have Milan Skriniar back in the squad, but the Slovakian defender should start from the bench. Certain of starting, however, are Alessandro Bastoni and Francesco Acerbi. Matteo Darmian should complete the back line instead of Skriniar. Onana returns to goal after being rotated against Spezia. Robin Gosens will miss the leg because of his latest injury of a left calf muscle pull. This should hand Dimarco the start as the left wing back while Denzel Dumfries will probably start on the right.
Marcelo Brozovic should continue with his old starting regista role with Nicolò Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu alongside him. However, the Turkish midfielder may be competing for the start with Mkhitaryan. In the attack, Lautaro Martinez should be paired with Edin Dzeko as the starting duo. Romelu Lukaku should be available off the bench.
Porto won 3-2 at home against Estoril Praia in their last match in Primeira Liga. The “dragons” are currently in second place in the league, now 8 points from the leaders Benfica (already qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals). For the Inter match on Tuesday, Conceiçao will have to manage without the vital presence of Otavio, as a result of being sent off in the first leg.
INTER (3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez.
PORTO (4-4-2): Diogo Costa; Manafà, Pepe, Marcano, Zaidu; Franco, Grujic, Uribe, Galeno; Pepe, Taremi.
