Having provided the assist for Mauro Icardi’s equaliser, Matteo Politano has since had this to say after Inter’s 1-1 draw with PSV:
“There is a lot of disappointment, especially after the first half when we committed too many errors. We grew a lot after the interval and created many goalscoring chances. After Icardi’s goal, we should’ve kept pressing but we’d already given a lot.”
He continued on to say, “Personal praise counts for nothing. Now we must remain strong and turn our focus straight away to the league, and then the Europa League. It’s a competition that we can go all the way in. We have a relatively young squad and we can look to the future with optimism.”
