Andre Onana had some important moments to ensure the score stayed 1-0 in a massive win over Serie A league leaders Napoli.
Onana was interviewed after the match where everything was positive after such a disappointing World Cup campaign on an individual level. Onana didn’t let this get to him, as he was excellent in every aspect of the Napoli match.
“I made a fundamental save, but the most important thing is to have won the game. It’s fantastic to have finished with a clean sheet too. We defended very well and I’m proud of the team’s performance. It was a very important match and I’m delighted with these three points.
“I’m happy with the reaction of my defenders after my save because sometimes opponents score on the rebound. It didn’t happen here because they were super reactive and it’s very good.
“We knew how important this match was. We were all ready for a night like this and I always want to help my teammates in every moment of the match, even with my attitude.”
