Alexis Sanchez has mutually terminated his contract with Inter, as he will now join Marseille on a free transfer.
The Chilean was no longer in Inzaghi’s plans, which only meant one option. This was to leave Inter and search for a club to play regular football.
Sanchez, who turns 34 in December, still believes he has a lot to offer and Ligue 1 runners up last season will be the perfect place for Alexis to continue his trade.
It seems that Inter are offloading a lot of deadweight and highest wages with the likes of Vecino, Kolarov and Vidal already departing earlier in the market. With the departure of Sanchez, this will allow Inter to think for the future and essentially balance the books.
As we reported in mid June below, the official news for Sanchez was made within the last 24 hours.
We thank Sanchez for his 20 goals in 109 appearances across all competitions. His most memorable the 120th minute winner against Juventus to claim the Supercoppa Italiana trophy for Inter.
Good luck in the future, we will be cheering for you!
