Hakan Çalhanoğlu has joined the Nerazzurri for free after failing to negotiate a deal with his former employers. The 27-year-old midfielder has signed a contract with Inter until 30 June 2024.
He contributed four goals and 10 assists in his previous campaign with AC Milan.
“Yes, I spoke with Inzaghi,” he said. “I know his game system, the 3-5-2 which can change into a 3-4-1-2 depending on the situation. I really like how he spoke, I have heard many positive things. There are great objectives, which is important because I also want to win something in Italy.”
Hakan Çalhanoğlu could slot right into Inter’s starting lineup and take up Chrisitan Eriksen’s position. The latter will have to make a crucial decision following a sophisticated heart procedure whether he wishes to continue playing professional football.
