One piece of the Inter goalkeeping puzzle has been solved today as Raffaele Di Gennaro re-signed with the club for a one year deal. The 29-year-old will most likely replace the recently departed Alex Cordaz as the third goalkeeper for the Nerazzurri.

Born in Saronno on October 3rd, 1993, Di Gennaro started playing football at the age of 5. While his dad and brother played in attack, Raffaele always wanted to be the goalkeeper.

His growth was hampered by some injuries, which kept him away from the field for some time. And after spending 10 years in the Inter youth academy from 2002 to 2012, he made his professional debut with Cittadella in 2013.

After Cittadella, Di Gennaro played for Latina, Ternana and Spezia, before returning to Inter in 2018. He then went on to play for Catanzaro and Pescara, before moving to Gubbio in the summer of 2022.

Now his career has come full circle as he rejoins the club of his youth.
