Alessandro Bastoni will miss the Derby d’Italia due to an injury suffered on Tuesday. The Italian defender had stopped play after having an issue in his left thigh during the second half of the match against Porto. The former Atalanta center back fell to the ground and requested for a change after doctors intervened and examined his leg. Today he underwent the usual medical tests at the Humanitas institute in Rozzano, which did not bring any good news for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.
INJURY DETAILS – Clinical tests have confirmed that Bastoni suffered a sprain to the flexor muscles of his left thigh. His conditions will be re-evaluated next week during the international break. In fact, with this injury, Bastoni will be out for Sunday evening’s match against Juventus. He could be ready to rejoin the team for the Fiorentina league match on April 1st or the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal against Juventus on April 4th.
