Lukaku - Inter
Inter make it 9 wins in a row after beating Bologna 1-0.

Inter have now notched up 9 wins in a row. Another Lukaku goal being the difference as Inter went on to defeat Bologna 1-0 away from home.

This being the perfect matchday as both Milan and Juventus drew their respective matches. Inter is now clear 8 points from second place Milan, and still a game up our sleeves.

The gap may widen even further if Inter can be successful in the midweek match at home to Sassuolo.

Let’s look a bit further into the match against Bologna.

Missing a defender? No problem!

Inter were without De Vrij for the match away to Bologna. After seeing the results earlier in the season without De Vrij, Skriniar and Bastoni playing together, it would’ve been normal for fans across the globe to be worried.

In comes Ranocchia, and he does a fantastic job as all professional footballers should. We may not have seen a world-class performance as we normally see with De Vrij at the back, however Andrea played a great match.

The credit has to go to Conte, as squad depth plays a major role in winning league titles, and consistently Inter squad players have been ready to play on every occasion.

With Bastoni out due to suspension in the next match, it will be interesting to see which formation Inter goes with.

Right place at the right time –

Time and time again, Lukaku is always putting himself in the right positions. Another example was seen last night, when everything was against Inter but one opportunity sees Lukaku send Inter ahead 1-0.

It’s not luck as too many times this happens, so Lukaku is doing his job perfectly. As all strikers should, he is finding ways to get the ball into the back of the net.

So far, Lukaku is sitting on 20 goals for the Serie A season. With 10 matches still remaining, can Romelu get to the 30 mark? Only time will tell, but fingers crossed he can overtake Ronaldo to be the Capocannoniere in the process.

Winning culture being built –

To win 9 matches in a row isn’t something teams can do easily. For the second time this season, Inter have gone on winning runs which truly shows a new era is here.

The first winning streak was 8 league wins in a row, and now the second is currently sitting at 9. How far can Inter take it? Can the 17 win record set over a decade ago be matched?

I won’t put anything against this Inter team, but let’s take it one fixture at a time and concentrate on the next match coming up.

Where to next?

Inter will face Sassuolo at the San Siro in a midweek fixture. This is a catchup match for the COVID postponement before the international break.

Can Inter make it 10 wins in a row?

Prediction: Inter 2-0
