Radja Nainggolan who is currently out on loan at Cagliari was interviewed by Corriere dello Sport in which he shed light on what happened between him and Inter & also Icardi, amongst other things.
“Icardi? He’s not a bad boy but what we know happened last year. His wife made those statements and not everyone forgives. I didn’t even listen to them. I don’t watch football programs.”
“Revenge against Inter? Of course I want revenge. I want to prove that they were wrong, not only in the upcoming game but throughout the season.”
“I tried to make Conte change his mind, I started out on tour with them and gave it my all, but it wasn’t enough. Oriali spoke to me first and then Conte, who explained to me that letting me go was a non-footballing decision.”
“I know that what happened at Inter maybe was partly my fault. Let’s say I’m not your typical footballer, who goes straight home once a game ends, but I won’t change my way of life. I know some people don’t like it. I’ve taken note of that and I’ve turned the page.”
“Marotta? I never heard from him, he didn’t talk to me.”
