Inter and Napoli: Deal or no deal?
While reports from Corriere Dello Sport earlier this week suggested a possible swap between Mauro Icardi and Lorenzo Insigne, new reports came out proposing that Inter would be interested in the Polish midfielder Piotr Zieliński.
In an interview with Corriere Dello Sport, De Laurentiis (Napoli‘s president), has ruled out a possible move for the 25 year old Piotr Zieliński labeling him as ‘not for sale’.
Although he did label Lorenzo Insigne in the same manner, Napoli’s president did not rule out a possible swap deal if the counterpart would me strenghting the Partenopei side.
ADL declared to Corriere Dello Sport:
“My staff tells me that Inter wants to dismantle my team and have asked for my strongest players, but I have no intention of selling them, not Piotr Zielinski and not Lorenzo Insigne.”
“Insigne could play in any of the big European teams, but right now he is with Napoli and he is happy. We are not a supermarket; our players are not for sale unless we buy someone whom we think will make the team stronger. So many teams ask for our players, but they are not for sale.”
While a move for the Polish midfielder seems almost impossible at this point, Inter could make a move for the Italian winger by inserting the unwanted Mauro Icardi in the deal.
However, in his latest declaration to Gazetta Dello Sport, Napoli‘s president has definitely ruled out any interest in Inter‘s ex-captain by saying: “I won’t buy him”.
Which puts an end to this saga and drives away the possibility of seeing Lorenzo Insigne in an Inter jersey next season.
On the other hand, Wanda Nara still refuses all the offers in the hope to keep her client/husband at Inter for “at least another season” according to various sources.
Lucas Vazquez, a possible Inter target:
Sky Sports, Tuttosport and the spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo are all reporting it. Piero Ausilio is looking to snatch up one of Real Madrid‘s unwanted players.
While Isco and Bale seem to be mission impossible given their price tags and also salaries, Inter could be interested in signing Lucas Vazquez.
A versatile player and an interesting profile that could fit in Antonio Conte‘s style. The Spanish winger is valued at 30M and seems to be interested in moving on from Real Madrid.
In fact, with the arrival of new signings like Eden Hazard, Rodrygo and Luka Jovic, Vazquez could see his time at La Casa Blanca reaching its end.
