MERCATO LIVE: Decisive week | Plusvalenza achieved| Barella & Sensi approach

Your Daily Dose of Inter News

This week will present a huge week for Inter in terms of closing out the FFP regulation by June 30. With the remainder of the capital gains set to be recorded on the books through other sales, Inter will finally break free of the shackles of FFP, and gain more financial freedom for the coming mercato.

Financial Fair Play – Capital gains update:

Inter are currently in the final phase in order to reach the required (40 million Euro) amount to stay within the FFP regulations. By selling young players in the system with inserted buy back clauses, Inter have managed to avoid selling any of their top players.

Zinho Vanheusden + the loan of Emmers to Standard Liege accounts for 20 million of the overall amount, all of which can be counted towards the capital gains. 8 million Euro more will arrive from Genoa through the purchase of Nicholas Rizzo & Lorenzo Gavioli.

In the coming week, it is imperative that Inter collect the further 12-13 million and plan to do so through further youth sales in Davide Merola & Federico Dimarco. There is also the case of Joao Mario, Yann Karamoh & Gabriel Barbosa to analyse when Conte welcomes the team back to Appiano.

Barella & Sensi approaching:

Breaking clear of FFP will mean Inter can start the Conte era at the very start of July, with the new manager requesting his squad + signings be available to him for training ASAP.

Nicola Barella has more than just given his word to Inter. The Cagliari star has enjoyed a  brilliant domestic season and is currently turning heads and ripping shreds off the national U/21s Euro tournament and the official UEFA EURO 2020 qualifiers for the Azzurri. Offers from Chelsea, Arsenal, Napoli, Milan & Juve have all been neglected and pushed aside by the youngster as he eagerly awaits his childhood dream of playing for the nerazzurri.

That isn’t all though, as Antonio Conte continues to build an Italian core & backbone in this new look Inter, Stefano Sensi is also expected to arrive at the helm this coming week after Inter efficiently closed out a deal with Sassuolo to bring the midfielder to the San Siro on a 5 million Euro loa with an option to buy at a further 20 million. A deal that mimics the Politano deal last summer, which Inter capitalised on last week by redeeming Matteo.

Lukaku – Icardi swap: Manchester United open to the idea?

After reading previously that the English giants were ‘uninterested in a swap involving the Argentine’, latest news has implicated the red devils into a potential trade between the two forwards. Manchester Evening News states that whilst the English side are ‘interested’ in the Argentine, Inter are falling well short of their valuation of the Belgium hitman, with about 20 million standing between Lukaku and his move to Inter.

One thing is for sure, Inter cannot make a move for Romelu until Mauro’s future is sorted. Rumours leaked online that Conte has politely told Wanda Nara that Icardi has no place on his team, a phone call she has since denied took place.

Florenzi to follow Dzeko?

Calciomercato reports that Roma fullback Florenzi is ready to follow soon to be Inter striker Eden Dzeko over to Milan in wake of the political and logistical changes going on in the nations capital club.

Despite being one of the contenders to take recently departed Danielle de Rossi’s captains armband, Alessandro Florenzi is said to have been disgruntled by the American ownership take over, citing similiar feelings to De Rossi & club legend Francesco Totti, which the later having stated “they wanted to kick the Roman’s out of Roma, they succeeded.”

The 28 year old is valued between 25-30 million Euro’s with Inter ready to pounce as new boss Conte is very fond of the fullback, and would suit the new system and core structure of this new Inter.

Speaking of the Bosnian hit man, Eden Dzeko’s move to Inter seems to be moving at a snails pace, but moving none the less.

Latest reports have Inter & Roma currently about 7 million apart on a deal that would see Eden move from the nations capital to Milan. While Roma continue to haggle and press for a fee around about the 20 million Euro mark, Inter are reluctant to pay that much for a 33 year old, instead valuing him around about 10-12.5 million. Most if not all outlets expect an agreement to be reached somewhere in the middle.
