Inter Worldwide will be analysing each position during this transfer window. Where can Inter improve? Do we have the financial capacity this winter? Keep reading to find out more:

Part Two: Right Back

It feels like yesterday when one of the best right back of all time was doing whatever he pleased on the right side of our team.

Since Maicon left, we have had a series of unfortunates events appearing on that position. Some may say that Danilo D’Ambrosio is doing a decent job, after all, compared to Jonathan he is an absolute champion! In my personal opinion, he has been one of our weakest links however for the last 3 seasons, with huge deficiencies in both technical but mostly tactical aspects of the game. Going back to analyze most of the goals we have conceded in the recent past, you will notice how a good percentage come from that flank or involved DD in first person.

Inter fans thought that bringing in a vice-World Cup winner could improve our situation, but the availability of Sime Vrsalijko this season has been inconsistent, with just 5 appearances in Serie A due to too many injuries. Personally, I wouldn’t spend the €18M necessary to purchase him at the end of his loan. I rather invest the same amount in other right back, these are just two options:

Option 1: Davide Zappacosta
Age: 26
Value: €18M,
Club: Chelsea
Agent: Alessandro Lucci – WSA (Is agent to many Serie A players such as including Suso, Bonucci, Florenzi, Cuadrado and Vecino).

Back in August, before the “happy” ending of the Vrsalijko tormentone, there was some rumor of a possible move on Zappacosta, ex Torino and Atalanta player. He also released a comment to the press, happy to be link to the nerazzuri, although willing to play his cards in this first season with Sarri. So far, he has played just 3 times in the Premier League, once in the FA cup and never in Europe. With the transfer window coming up, rumours are back, this time they are talking about Napoli but honestly I wouldn’t be surprise if at the end he will join our side at Milano. A lot will depend on this next player.

Possible move in January: 25% Possible move in the summer: 35%

Option 2: Elseid Hysaj
Age: 24
Value: €22.5M
Club: Napoli
Agent: M.A.R.A.T. Football Management (Also Conti, Mario Rui, Biraghi, Sepe, Bardi and a lot of “less famous” Italian players).

He is personally one of my favorite players in this position. He’s not so impressive as Insigne, Mertens or Milik could be, but he is incredibly efficient in both defense and attack. Past summer DeLaurentis stopped his transfer to Chelsea but just recently he gave the green light for a possible move. Sarri worked with him at Napoli and Empoli before that, so he’s willing to spend good money to bring him to London. Rightfully so, in my opinion! I would rather spend more to get him instead of waiting for the domino effect and maybe get Zappacosta, at that point an expensive (but still valuable) redundancy at Chelsea.
