Inter will come into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Atalanta before the international break. Inter will look to kick-start the league with a win over a struggling Torino side.

Antonio Conte is feeling the heat from the Italian press and fans regarding a slow start to the season. Inter are still in a decent position on the table despite some setbacks. This is what Conte said during his pre-match conference.

“The situation is difficult but not only for us because every three days we have to play challenging matches. We know our strenghts and weaknesses, we must step above the deliver the results.”

Statistics & Encounters

In the last 22 encounters between the two sides, Inter holds a clear advantage. They have won 11 games, lost four and drawn seven.

The two clubs last faced each other in July of this year, with Inter beating Torino 3-1.

Inter currently sits 5 points behind the league leaders and city rivals AC Milan whereas Torino sits just above the relegation zone.

Suspensions and Team News

Inter will be without the services of Italian midfielder Stefano Sensi and Uruguay international Matias Vecino, who are both injured.

Sensi is on track to return very soon according to his IG post earlier this week.

Veteran left-back Aleksandar Kolarov, Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and goalkeeper Daniele Padelli have all tested positive for coronavirus and will be unavailable for this game.

With a crucial champions league game ahead, Conte might rotate players accordingly to keep them fresh and ready for the Real Madrid challenge.

Torino will be without centre-back Armando Izzo and midfielder Daniele Baselli, who are both nursing injuries and will be unavailable.

Probable Line-Ups

Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic, Bastoni, De Vrij, D’Ambrosio, Darmian, Gagliardini, Vidal, Barella, Young, Lukaku, Lautaro.

Torino (4-3-3): Sirigu, Vojvoda, Bremer, Vojnovic, Rodriguez, Meite,  Rincon, Linetty, Lukic, Verdi, Andrea Belotti.

Prediction

Inter: 3

Torino: 0

Inter is clearly missing their killer’s instinct this season. However, a match up against a struggling side can be an uplifting boost to jump start a winning streak. Conte is under pressure to deliver the results. The winning must start now.
