The relationship between Uruguayan defender Diego Godin & Atletico Madrid seems to be nearing its end after the two have failed to reach an arrangement for a contract extension.
This coupled with the fact that the central defender is now free to negotiate with other clubs is expected to close the book on an illustrious career with Los Rojiblancos’.
Manchester United were the first club to poke their noses around six months ago, but were unsuccessful in their attempts. They will however be expected to go in for the Europa League Champion along with a host of other clubs, most notably Inter & AC Milan.
