Inter have put Jonathan David as their primary target for the summer transfer window over Scamacca and Dybala as reported by GdS.
This comes less than a couple of days after the defeat against Liverpool. It seems Mr Zhang may have finally realised that Inter are lacking a strong striker at the moment. So we may break the bank to gain the services of David from Lille.
This comes as no surprise to the fans who have been asking for a Lukaku replacement since the beginning of the season. Jonathan David will fit perfectly into Inzaghi’s style as he’s fast, physical and a fantastic finisher.
Currently, David has scored 12 goals from 23 appearances in Ligue 1. Impressively he has led the line for Lille in the Champions League scoring 3 goals in 6 appearances.
At the mere age of 22, the young Canadian has plenty to learn, but he has proved over the past couple of seasons that he is made for the big stage. This comes as Lille won the league title last season from PSG with David scoring 13 goals in the campaign.
David’s current contract runs out in June 2025, so hopefully Marotta can work his magic to get this dream transfer across the line. This is definitely one to be excited about! We will hear more as the months go by.
