Serie A defender of the 19/20 season, Stefan de Vrij has been the heart of the Inter’s defense. That’s why the negotiations of his contract extension has to begin soon.
Reportedly, the 28 years old defender’s agent Mino Raiola will be sitting with the hierarchy of the Nerazzurri in November to renegotiate the contract. de Vrij currently earns 4.2 million Euros a year with a contract expiring in 2023. Inter reputedly might offer him two extra years to keep him until 2025; with his salary to reach 5.5 million Euros.
Surly, Raiola will be mentioning that his client has played the most minutes in last season Serie A of any defender in Inter’s current Squad. While also being the third highest -with 2830 Mins- in the whole team after Handanovic and Lukaku.
At the moment, de Vrij seems to be untouchable at Inter. The coach, Antonio Conte, seems to rely on him in every minute he is available. That is why he is essential for the future plans of the club.
