Inter brushed aside another struggling opponent to recapture second place in the Serie A standings. The victory also paved way for the-18-year old Inter academy product, Lorenzo Pirola to make debut for the senior team.
Born in 2002, the Nerazzurri defender was full of emotions after coming through the ranks of Inter academy. The young defender spoke to the media after the match and said:
“I’ve supported Inter since I was a little boy. I started my journey with the Under-14s and it was always my dream to make debut in this shirt.”
“I’ve learned that you need to keep your cool, even if it’s your debut, and you’ve got to try and enjoy yourself as much as possible. It was an evening that was full of emotions.”
“My next goals? To continue growing as a player and fight for my place in the First Team.”
