In retaliation to ticket allocation issues, Inter’s Ultras are refusing to chant, wave flags or even provide a visual display in the stands for the Milan derby.
The current COVID restrictions of 5,000 supporters is set to be changed back to 50% capacity for the Milan game. Even with these changes, the tickets have been exhausted and handed out in not a very logical way.
Many Inter fans have missed out on tickets which has caused outrage. It’s completely understandable for one of the biggest matches in the season. Especially for one of the oldest rivalries in world football too.
The Curva Nord has asked Beppe Marotta to intervene and allow the ultras better access to the tickets. We do not know the current amount of fans who have missed out, but for any Ultras to miss out at an Inter home match is terrible.
There’ll be more about this in the coming week, as the match is not set to kick until 5th February.
It would be a shame for Inter not to have the crowd completely behind them on the pitch. As we know, San Siro has been a fortress for Inter as a match hasn’t been lost at home in over a year.
This match will potentially break open the Serie A title race, as Inter may then hold a 7 point gap with a game in hand.
Let’s hope this situation can get sorted ASAP. As always, Forza Inter!
