Inter will ask Lionel Scaloni and Argentine Football Association to not call Lautaro Martinez for the last international break, Gazzetta dello Sport reports. The season is entering it’s crucial stages and Inter and Lautaro don’t look good enough. Difficult fixtures with Salernintana, Liverpool, Torino and Fiorentina are ahead before the last international break for the season. The Nerrazzuri have always looked exhausted after such breaks and lost some points in such fixtures. Therefore, Inzaghi hopes that some players may stay at Appiano before the final and Lautaro is one of them.

Argentina has already qualified for the World Cup and will play two meaningful fixtures. First, they host Venezuela on 27.03 and then travel to Ecuador on 30.03. After the break Inter has an away game versus Juventus, which could turn out to be decisive for the season. That is why, the Nerrazzuri bord hopes that Lautaro can stay in Italy or at least not play in the second fixture and return early to prepare for the Derby d’Italia. The decision will depend on AFA and on Martinez himself. The striker is very passionate when it comes to playing for Argentina. However, he also must realize the importance of this period for Inter’s season.
