Inter Vs. Spal – Post match interviews

Inter Worldwide

Inter Milan reached the summit of Serie A after beating Spal 2-1 at the San Siro on match day 14. Thanks to an all dominating performance from hit man Lautaro Martinez who scored a brace.

Here is what the coach and players had to say during their post match interviews.

Antonio Conte – “We have been working towards this goal since day one. We are certainly doing a great job. Being at the top gives us great pride and satisfaction because that shows we are doing well. But we must be better and give more to manage games like today. One unlucky moment slip would have been enough to draw a match which we deserved to win. When a team like Juventus drops point, you need to make sure that you make the most of it.”

“Lautaro and Lukaku are working really hard and both have improved significantly. Best strikers are those who play for the team, those who are always looking for each other and trying to help each other out. Lautaro scored a brace today but Lukaku also had a great game. They must always maintain this attitude to further improve their game.”

Lautaro Martinez – “We did really well in the first half, our wide players pushed high up the pitch and defense played a high line. Even though, our physical level dropped a bit in the second half but our mentality was right for the win. We are proud of this win and we work for this every day and to show out there on the pitch that we are worthy of this shirt.”

Valentino Lazaro – “An important win despite being not the best in the second half. I have played in different positions a lot in my career, today, I had the chance to play on the left wing but it wasn’t an issue. I am still able to cut in on my strong foot and cross with my left foot. It’s nice to be at the top but it’s just one moment out of a very long season. We are happy for today but we must keep on fighting from game to game”

Inter will return to action against Roma on 12/6 in hopes to maintain their position at the top of the Serie A.
