Nicolò Barella who has been in the middle of a bidding war between Napoli and Chelsea could well see his future elsewhere; the blue side of Milan.
Indeed, according to Sportmediaset, Inter are on the verge of signing Cagliari’s midfielder. In order to do so, a partnership between the two clubs that consists of Inter bringing Nahitan Nandez (Boca Junior’s midfielder) to Cagliari and getting the young Italian for a lower fee.
Cagliari who were already linked to Nandez earlier in the season have seen a negative turning point in the negotiations as they couldn’t find an agreement concerning the way the payment would be spread.
Inter’s role would be helping Cagliari provide an initial 18m to Boca Junior and benefit from an option to buy on the Uruguyan.
As counterpart, Cagliari would give Barella to Inter in a deal worth €40m plus €10m formulated in performance-related bonuses.
Inter are reportedly ready to offer Nicolo Barella a 5-year contract in a deal worth 12.5m (2.5 p/a).
