After the Skriniar fiasco, Inter are making no mistake in wrapping up their stars long term. Alessandro Bastoni is first on the agenda.
The current contract is set to expire in June 2024, so it’s excellent that Inter are proactive with negotiations. I’m sure the club will want to have the new contract signed before next season begins.
The Italian international is rumoured to be offered an extension until 2027 worth €4mil net per season. This is well deserved for Bastoni, who has recently picked back up his form previously shown under Conte.
We saw a slight dip when Inzaghi took over which may have been caused by a change in tactics. However, Bastoni has gone from strength to strength in recent months to be one of Inter’s best.
A renewal would be fantastic for Inter too, as securing key players will lead to confidence within the squad. Especially with one such as Bastoni, as he was linked with an exit to Tottenham during the summer transfer window last season. So ensuring his future is with Inter, will most likely lead to the renewals of other Italians such as Barella and Dimarco.
The last thing we want is another player to leave for free!
