Inter plans to part ways with Gabigol next summer

In 2016, Inter signed Gabriel 'Gabigol' Barbosa from Santos for a fee of around 30 million euros. In January, he moved to Flamengo on a dry loan with the Brazilian club paying all of his 3 million salary.

Gabriel Barbosa had a terrible time in Europe as he spent the first year with Inter as an unused sub and a loan experience at Benfica which was a failure.

In contrary to Europe, Gabigol has been very impressive since returning to Brazil. In fact, last season he finished top scorer of the Brazilian League with Santos. With Flamengo, this season, he has a very high average goal and is making the difference.

However, Inter are still not impressed with the Brazilian and they informed his entourage that they will be selling him next summer. Inter value him at around 15/20 million euros and they want to sell him to a European club or a Chinese club with the intention of not making any capital losses.

Marotta has also given his approval for this decision.
