Yann Sommer is getting closer and closer to joining Inter. According to the latest updates from Sky Sport DE, the Swiss goalkeeper’s transfer from Bayern Munich to the Nerazzurri now appears more possible as a verbal agreement has been reached between the two clubs. A deal can be finalized next week.

At this stage, the negotiations between the Nerazzurri and the Bavarians have been positive, which could result in a cost of between 5 and 6 million euros for the deal. However, the price tag may also come around 4 million euros plus bonuses, according to another report from Sky Sport Italia.

Since the transfer of Andre Onana to Manchester United last week, Inter have been working to acquire a starting goalkeeper for the new season. 21-year-old Filip Stanković started today’s preseason friendly against Al-Nassr in Japan.

To replace Sommer, Bayern have set their sights on Brentford’s David Raya, one of several candidates on their shortlist.
