Inter-Lazio Preview: Correa to start up front with Lukaku

Lazio will try to prevent Napoli's eventual Scudetto celebration for one week by defeating Inter at the San Siro early on Sunday.

After advancing to the Italian Cup final, Simone Inzaghi’s Inter are back to playing in the league where they will face Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio early on Sunday. The challenge is intertwined with the possible arithmetic for awarding the Scudetto to Napoli as they try to clinch the title right after these two teams fight it out for a finish in the top four.

Simone Inzaghi will line up his classic 3-5-2 formation against Lazio. André Onana will start between the posts as the defensive trio should consist of Francesco Acerbi in the center, with Matteo Darmian and Alessandro Bastoni completing the back line.

In the midfield, Marcelo Brozovic should be joined by Nicolò Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. On the lanes, Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries should both start from the first minute. In the attack, Inzaghi could be making some changes as Joaquin Correa will probably support Romelu Lukaku. Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez will be available off the bench.

Meanwhile, on Lazio’s side of the pitch-

A victory to delay Napoli’s scudetto celebration by one round: this is how Lazio is preparing for the match against Inter, according to manager Maurizio Sarri. The Biancocelesti are currently 7 points over the Nerazzurri and 5 points above fourth place (the last place to qualify for the next Champions League).

Sarri will once again field his usual 4-3-3 with Provedel confirmed in goal. Lazzari will still begin the match from the bench with Marusic on the right and Hysaj on the left as the two full-backs. While the two central defenders will be Casale and Romagnoli.

The midfield trio will probably consist of the of the usual: Milinkovic-Savic as right midfielder, Luis Alberto on the left and Cataldi as regista. In attack, Felipe Anderson should start on the right with Immobile in the center and Zaccagni completing the trident.
