Inter’s old captain Mauro Icardi seems closer and closer to making his PSG move a permanent one. Sources have told ESPN that the Parisian side and the player’s wife-agent Wanda Nara have been in talks.
There have been disputes between Paris Saint Germain and Inter on the fee to pay. Icardi joined them on a loan with the option to buy for a fee of 70 million. Nara has been acting as an intermediate between the clubs. In Milano, she has been trying to get Inter to lower the fee. In Paris, she has been talking contractual talks for her client-husband. The clubs appear to have reached an agreement between 55 and 60 million for the 27-year-old striker.
The Argentinian will perceive 10 million a year. He will substitute Edinson Cavani whose contract will expire in June. The Uruguayan striker has yet to define his next team but with Sanchez’s return to Manchester, it wouldn’t be crazy to imagine him wearing Black and Blue next season.
The sale of Icardi will bring in fresh money for the Nerazzurri’s transfer market in a summer where prices might be lowered due to the coronavirus crisis. In the case of Lautaro’s departure for Barcelona, Inter will likely obtain 2 players plus cash. What waits ahead might be a transfer market even bigger than last summers.
