10 years ago Samir Handanovic signed with Inter, and now he has extended his contract to stay another year with the Nerazzurri.
As we know, Inter have signed Onana for the future but Handanovic will still remain short term between the sticks it seems. The decision to stay another year is a great move by the club.
Our captain may not be a starter for the entire season, but his leadership and experience will benefit Inter greatly.
Congratulations to Handanovic, who will start his eleventh season with the club. After signing from Udinese in 2012, Handanovic has gone from strength to strength and it’s a credit to himself.
His professionalism which he has shown throughout the years is something to behold, and his on-field performances have been world class for several years of his Inter career.
Handanovic was interviewed by Inter TV and he said the below.
“Inter are a top Club, I’ve worked hard to join this team. Here, you can compete to win. I’m at the team’s disposal. It’ll be great to take to the pitch at San Siro, as it has been when I’ve played here as an opposition player. It’s a stadium where the fans make themselves heard. For a goalkeeper, this is brilliant.”
