The German international, Robin Gosens was interviewed after the Milan match where he scored his first goal in an Inter jersey.
“While it wasn’t the best goal I’ve ever scored it’s perhaps one of the most important. I’m delighted for it. I always try to make it to the far post; it’s hard for defenders to track me. I’m happy to have scored and to have been able to contribute to the team.
“We were desperate to reach the final and we’ve deservedly done so based on how we played this evening. This win can spur us on for the end of season run-in; we’ve got six crucial games ahead of us and we want to win every game that we have ahead of us.
“Playing for Inter is an important challenge for me. The club gets the best out of you and I’m loving being part of this team.”
Even though Gosens has only been used as a substitute by Inzaghi thus far, his contributions are definitely important. I think Inzaghi has been scared of the injury concerns which Gosens was battling earlier this season.
If Gosens is 100% fit, then I’m sure there is room for both Perisic and Gosens on the pitch at the same time, which is a very scary thought.
