Gagliardini: “Icardi wants to help Inter.”

After a brilliant match against Genoa, Gagliardini spoke to Sky Sports microphones about the return of Mauro Icardi:

“We have shown that we are professionals, we are footballers and we want the good of Inter and Mauro simply did this. He entered the field to help Inter, played and scored a goal and even making an assist. Everyone’s behavior should be praised when they enter the pitch with the intention of helping Inter, leaving aside all the external issues.”

Speaking on the Genoa game, Gagliardini said:

“I’m happy to score these two goals but I’m especially happy because these goals led to two very important victories. This goal gives us confidence, then for a player like me who doesn’t usually play, it’s certainly a reason for personal pride. If goals lead to winning the game, then the feeling is so much better.”

Finally, Gagliardini commented on the Champions league race:

“It was a very important night seeing also the result of the direct rivals. It was a fundamental victory, we came from a bad defeat, we had the skill and the luck that the other teams lost points and therefore we have to be consistent by winning on Sunday against Atalanta.”
