Inter and Antonio Conte have recalled Sebastiano Esposito out of the U-17 World Cup squad. Gazzetta dello Sport report that there is faith in the young striker to take place of Alexis Sanchez.
After Alexis Sanchez picked up his injury, Esposito will be used as back up for Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Matteo Politano
“We’re sorry that Esposito couldn’t come with us, but unfortunately circumstances beyond our control prevented his call-up, despite the great availability shown by Inter.”, an Italian staff told reporters.
The U-17 Azzurri kick off their World Cup campaign against Solomon Islands on October 28 in Gama.
