A solid performance from Stefan de Vrij, as the Dutchman provided his second assist in his last three league appearances. de Vrij spoke about his thoughts on the win against Brescia:
“It wasn’t easy by any means but we’re happy with the win and the three points. We controlled the game in the first half. Despite the pressure we had to soak up in the second, we managed to bring home the result.”
“We’re happy because we’re on the right track: we know that there’s always room to improve and we’re taking it game by game. We certainly have positive feelings, it’s not easy to play away against Brescia and Corini has a good team that caused us problems, they pressed us a lot.”
“We did really well to win. It’s also nice to play every few days, us footballers live to play games: it’s tiring but we’re happy.”
