According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio is expected to leave his international duties early due to an injury. “I fear I’ve fractured my little toe”, claimed the 31-year-old.

Danilo suffered several knocks during Saturday’s 2-0 win over Greece at the Stadio Olimpico, which secured qualification for Euro 2020.

“I did get a bruise to my right knee, but the real problem is that I fear I’ve fractured my little toe on my left foot,” D’Ambrosio told Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Inter full-back has been a crucial player for Antonio Conte’s good run this season. Playing as wingback and center back, Conte has used him in both positions.

Unfortunately, Inter’s depth will be tested as Alexis Sanchez has also picked up an injury. However, Marotta has guaranteed Conte “big signings” this January to help add depth to Inter’s arsenal.
