Inter is set to kick start their Europa League campaign against Ludogorets of Bulgaria.

Coach Antonio Conte spoke to the press on the eve of their fixture and said: “We’ll be facing a side who are used to playing in Europe. They’re also at the top of their league by a large margin. Ludogorets are a great team and have quality players, they’re excellent when they come forward.”

Conte affirmed Inter’s state-of-mind after losing against Lazio and going in to the Europa League. He said: “It was a painful result for us. But we’ve got back up with the desire to bounce back and move forward. That’s why we’ll be looking to approach the Europa League in the right way.”

Prominent absentees in the Europa League match will be Marcelo Brozovic and Milan Skriniar. Conte said “Marcelo has stayed behind due to an ankle problem, he’s in a recovery program with the medical staff to get him back fully fit. Skriniar wouldn’t have played, which is why he stayed back.”

Christian Eriksen might get a start today while Alexis Sanchez might also see big minutes in this first leg of the Europa League. Check out our match preview here.
