Inter’s Head Coach Antonio Conte held a pre-match press conference before the first International Champions Cup game against Manchester United tomorrow:
Lukaku?
“For now he is a Manchester United player, even though I consider him perfect for us. I know him very well from my time at Chelsea and I think he would give us a big hand to improve. However, we know our situation and we will see what developments will come out of this transfer market. Of course playing without any strikers at the beginning of the season is not easy.
Icardi and Nainggolan?
“We were clear with them, Radja is on tour with us but the situation has not changed.”
Perisic?
“He is a player who has specific characteristics and I want to understand if he can play in the position I have in mind. We have time to evaluate and see if he can do what I want from him.”
Tomorrow’s match?
“The game against Manchester United will be an important match and at this level it is difficult to consider it a friendly match and it will be the same for them.”
Pre-season?
“It is going well but I hope to see more improvements in my team.”
Transfer market?
“It is difficult to predict the transfer market: we need to streamline and create a group. The management and I have the same vision for those coming in and those leaving, even though I expected us to be further ahead.”
